Brent on Broadway!

January 28, 2006. Brent Carter has signed to appear as lead vocalist in the Broadway production of Hot Feet at the Hilton Theatre, 213 West 42nd Street. Hot Feet is a new dance musical conceived by Maurice Hines, featuring music and lyrics by Maurice White (Earth, Wind & Fire), and directed and choreographed by Hines. Brent will perform the EWF songs in the show. It comes to Broadway following a run in D.C. The book is by MTV scribe Heru Ptah. View a Video Clip about this show.

Ptah's book, White's music and Hines direction and choreography bring out the emotion, sensitivity and the heart of Hot Feet. Together they weave a Faustian tale about a beautiful young dancer - Kalimba, whose whole life's dreams and ambition are to be a Broadway dancer. Kalimba is cajoled to dance with a pair of magical and enchanted red shoes, when she puts them on they begin to take control of the talented dancer's fate.

Hot Feet begins at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C. with previews on March 21, then opens on March 27 and runs through April 9. Then it moves to New York, where previews begin April 15 at the Hilton Theatre with opening night scheduled for April 30. We hope you can attend if you are in the New York area! See the Scheduled Appearances page for show dates.
